Humans are the species with intelligence, wisdom, principles, thoughts, habits, morals, skills and talent and accomplish their desires and wishes. Their aspiration invokes them to upgrade themselves to move forward and accomplish the desires and wishes. Life is a package of ups and down for everyone. Everyone has its own way of handling the crisis and overcoming them. Unfortunately today the whole world is facing the crisis with the disease Covid – 19. Everyone is aware of the havoc it has caused. People are aware of the precautions to be taken to stay safe. Many measures are taken by the government to control and minimize the spread and win the situation. The most courageous decision is Lockdown. It is the event faced by everyone for the first time. Many thoughts and emotions have rushed with the lockdown. It was like the whole world came to a standstill. People are always occupied with so many activities in each role they play. With the lockdown it was a pause and a blank mind not knowing what to do. The life has to go on so the normal routine started. People are so used to work round the clock leisure makes them uncomfortable. It cannot be denied that every individual has faced many adverse situations in their life. To overcome any situation it has to be understood that self is greater than the situation. The first and the foremost thing are to accept the situation without any judgements, analysis and assumptions. Once it is accepted you find all the ways to overcome it. It is more difficult to handle when you are not aware of its source, how and when it can get worse and how long it will last. The Covid – 19 has created this situation in the world. It has no cure but if the immunity of the body is strong we can fight it. Similarly if you are mentally and emotionally strong you can handle it. Being physically strong with strong immunity is easy. Once you eat right, exercise and sleep well you are strong. Being mentally strong demands hard work. Mental health is a product of thoughts and thoughts are not in our control at times. Numerous thoughts rush our mind at the time of crisis. They are negative most of the time. The hard work is to replace them with the positive thoughts, which gives hope and energy. The process starts with counting your blessings. Once you do this you get all the ways to conquer negativity and find the solution. Again it is very important to be emotionally healthy. Emotions have all the hidden power that contributes to physical and mental health. Keeping in check the negative emotions help. When the things are unpredictable the negative emotions like fear, anger, frustration, disappointment, hatred is at its peak. They drain the energy and make you physically and mentally weak. The positive emotions like love, care, compassion, kindness, generosity, gratitude are full of energy and strength apart all the odds. The love, care, compassion, generosity, kindness towards each other helps to fight all the adversity. It has immense power.
It should be remembered that self is better than the situation and self has to be physically, mentally and emotionally healthy.
